Creditor lists, insolvency table, final distribution, Art. 15 information requests — Datenmaske supports the reviewable preparation of documents typical of insolvency proceedings: irreversible, traceable, in minutes instead of hours.

Core of the insolvency administrator's activity: § 60 InsO + GDPR. No § 203 blocker. Datenmaske is free to use during the development phase.

USE CASES

Where insolvency administrators use Datenmaske

Anonymize creditor lists

Prepare creditor lists and insolvency tables traceably before publication or sharing — Datenmaske suggests names, addresses and IBANs for review.

Art. 15 information requests

Answer large volumes of data subject responses to creditors efficiently — third-party data (co-creditors, debtor's relatives) is consistently redacted without jeopardizing the deadline under Art. 12 Abs. 3 DSGVO.

Final distribution & distribution schedule

Cleanse creditor IBANs and bank details for the final distribution before documents go to parties to the proceedings or the court.

Employee lists & social plan

Redact personal data of employees of the insolvent company (dismissals, social plan, residual claims) consistently — incl. social security number, address and date of birth.

Proceedings documents

Pass briefs, registers and reports on to creditors' meetings, parties to the proceedings and courts — with reliably redacted personal data.

Debtor register & records

Prepare debtor-side data and proceedings records for publication or file inspection — every redaction is traceably documented with a SHA-256 hash in the record.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a § 203 StGB solution for insolvency-law redaction?

For the core of the insolvency administrator's activity, no. In this function the insolvency administrator is not a professional secret holder under § 203 Abs. 1 StGB; their duty of confidentiality is governed by § 60 InsO and the GDPR. Creditor, debtor and employee data is therefore processed to GDPR standards — exactly what Datenmaske covers today. If you also act as a lawyer and process additional attorney-client material, § 203 StGB may be relevant in individual cases; however, the 2025 reform opened cloud outsourcing for professional secret holders subject to conditions. Review the individual case.

Does Datenmaske recognize creditor IBANs and insolvency case numbers?

Yes. With the insolvency administrator industry pack, Datenmaske recognizes insolvency case numbers (format "AG … IN …/…"), creditor and claim numbers in addition to the standard PII types, and raises the confidence for names, addresses, IBAN and dates of birth in documents typical of insolvency.

Can I process several creditor lists at once?

Yes. Datenmaske supports batch uploads and bulk processing including collective approval — useful for large proceedings with hundreds of creditor positions. Every process is documented individually in the redaction record.

Is the PDF redaction irreversible?

Yes. Datenmaske permanently removes text content from the PDF content stream — not just visually. The redacted data cannot be restored after export, and a fail-closed verification step checks this again before the file leaves the system.

Are my documents processed securely?

Datenmaske supports GDPR-compliant processes with TLS transmission, primary hosting in Germany, configurable deletion and a digitally signable AVV. Azure can be used for OCR and as a technical NER fallback stage in an EU region.
